Welcome Mr. Vargas!
Dear Brimfield CUSD #309 Families and Community,
This morning, Brimfield High School received a report regarding behavior that warranted a behavioral threat assessment. Out of an abundance of caution and in keeping with our commitment to student and staff safety, the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office was contacted immediately, and officers assisted school administration with the assessment.
At this time, no identified threat to students or staff has been determined. The school day continued as normal, and there was no interruption to the regular school schedule or learning environment.
We also want to clarify that no Standard Response Protocol procedures were initiated today related to this report. The only safety procedure conducted was our previously scheduled annual lockdown drill, which was conducted in partnership with the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office.
We understand that communications involving school safety can be concerning for families. Please know that we take every report seriously and follow established safety protocols to ensure our students and staff are safe and supported.
Safety, communication, and the well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priorities at Brimfield CUSD #309. We appreciate the continued partnership and trust of our families and community as we work together to maintain a safe, supportive learning environment for everyone.
Thank you for your continued support of Brimfield CUSD #309.
