There will be girls basketball open gyms on Tuesday May 27th and Thursday May 29th in the high school gym from 2:15 to 3:30. These are optional and open to any girls going into 9th grade through 12th grade.

Congratulations to the Indians softball team as they defeated Mercer County 9-0 in the IHSA regional semifinal game today. The ladies will move onto the regional championship game Friday at 4:30 in Kewanee.

STATE TRACK UPDATE:
- Berlyn Schidgall placed 6th in the Pole Vault, clearing 6'6"!
- The 7th grade girl’s 1600 medley placed 5th at state today with a new PR of 4:47.
- The 8th grade girls' 1600 medley finished 2nd.
- 8th Grade boys' 1600 Medley finished 3rd.
- Hattie Butterfield got 2nd in the 400 with a school record 1:03.07, breaking Kim Willi's 1:03.95 from 2000. She also got 4th in the 1600.
- Brady Zinser is a State Champion in the 400, with a time of 53.27, which is a STATE RECORD! He also ran sub 5:20 in the mile!
-Maud Nelson got 3rd in the 7th Grade mile with a time of 5:34.67
- Maya Zeman finished 11th (5:39.49) in the 8th Grade mile, and Jersey Hoerr finished 15th (5:44.22) It was a great day! More tomorrow!

Congratulations to the BHS Bass Fishing Team. The team competed in the IHSA Regional on Thursday on Lake McMaster in Victoria. The team consisted of two boats and both boats had a big day on the lake. Boat two's team members are JD Catour and Tristian Seep. JD and Tristian finished in 4th place. Boat one's team members consist of Kaden Cahill and Derek Cox. They had the biggest day on lake, winning the regional title and Derek won biggest fish of the day. Both boats have qualified for the IHSA sectional, Brimfield is the only school from our regional to qualify both boats. The sectional will be held Thursday May 21st on the Mississippi River at pool 13.
