On Friday, May 1st, BHS will be holding a ceremony to honor students in the Class of 2026 who have committed to play collegiate athletics, serve in the armed forces (i.e. - Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Department of the Air Force, Space Force and Coast Guard), or have an agreement with a CTE career lined up. We will arrange for students to sign their letters of intent for athletics, armed forces and/or employment with 1-2 family members seated at the table with the student and a representative from the school/armed force/business seated at the table as well. Other family/guests are welcome to attend and stand with the student as desired. Please have your senior student fill out the Google form sent to them by APRIL 17th to be included in the ceremony. This information will be used to create a schedule/script for the ceremony. Participation is optional, not required.

Welcome Back, BGS Families!

We saw lots of tired, yet, smiling faces this morning! We hope everyone had a restful Spring Break, and we’re excited to begin the final stretch of the school year—just 32 school days to go!

While the end of the year is in sight, learning is not slowing down. In fact, we are at the top of our academic game right now! Our students are discovering, growing, and being inspired every single day, and we are committed to making every moment of learning count through the very last day of school.

Please take a moment to review the BGS April Family Newsletter and update your calendars with important upcoming events.

A few important reminders:

- The last day of school will be May 20, 2026, with an 11:30 AM dismissal.
- May 18–19 will now be regular (8-3pm) attendance days due to previously used snow days.

We’re looking forward to a strong and successful finish to the school year!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Julie Kurtz

Students in Kindergarten traveled back in time and were Masons, Blacksmiths, Carpenters- they used sugar cubes and peanut butter as brick and mortar, foil to make boats, and Lincoln logs to build structures. These stations supported their CKLA Reading Unit on Colonial Times and the vocabulary that matched it.
