Hello Brimfield Community, We are planning for our 13th annual school supply giveaway! It will take place August 4th from 5:00-6:30 at the Union Church in Brimfield. This is a community sponsored event that provides school supplies to students in our community and beyond. No students are turned away, regardless of where they live. On Sunday, August 3rd, there will be time from 10:30-12:00 to drop off donations and get things organized. While we welcome any donations of supplies, monetary donations are important to help us get the more expensive items (calculators, Trapper Keepers, etc). If you would like to donate supplies, but can't drop them off on the 3rd, just let me know and we can work something out. If you would like to make a monetary donation, you can do 1 of the following: Venmo donations to: Kelly-Walker-44046 with supplies in memo Mail cash/checks to: Kelly Walker, Box 566, Brimfield, IL 61517 If you would like to volunteer to help, please let me know. Volunteers will need to be at the Union Church in Brimfield by 4:45 on the 4th. Thanks, Kelly Walker BGS kelly.walker@brimfield309.com

Good afternoon BHS families,

Please fill out this form to reserve a parking space for your student for the 2025-2026 SY. All portions of the form must be complete and registration fees must be paid for students to pick a parking spot. High school students should come to BHS any time during the in-person registration day on August 4, 2025 to reserve a parking spot. Spots are arranged by grade level. Students may select a parking spot from available spots within their grade level's allotment. Students will then be given a BHS parking permit to hang on their rear view mirror. Any student that cannot make it on August 4th may reach out to Mrs. Steele via email to schedule a time to pick their parking spot, sometime between August 5th – 12th.

This link has been sent to each student's school email address as well. Please check with your students to see if he/she have completed the form yet. Thanks.

Enjoy the second half of the summer.

On Tuesday Mrs. Forney, Mrs. Walker, Mrs. McGrath and Mrs. Loser participated in an all day training with Krista Leh called SEL Integration.  ⭐Often times when we hear SEL (Social Emotional Learning) we think about relationships and feelings. SEL is not a program but a set of skills all humans need to "Be Decent Human Beings".⭐ ✏️No matter how long a class is, what age, or topic these skills can be acknowledged and brought to life. ✏️Skills like understanding others perspectives, communicating effectively, being open minded and curious, problem solving, teamwork, goal setting, responsible decision making, and many others. ✏️Learning physically cannot happen, based on brain research, if we are not regulated. To learn a person needs to be in the cortex of their brain and to do this people need to feel safe, connected, and regulated.  ✏️Today was spent recognizing easy ways to do this.
