Teachers are still learning over the summer. Mrs. Albritton, Mrs. Walker, Mrs. Shoff, Mrs. Norman, Mrs. Loser, and Mrs. Fraelle attended Brain Based Classrooms with Stephanie Brown.
Biggest takeaways:
⭐In order for students and adults to be able to learn, reflect, and take in information we need to be in our cortex. To be there we need to be regulated.
⭐Regulate, Relate, Reason This is the sequence we need in order to be an optimal learner
⭐Kids are not giving you a hardtime they are just having a hard time
⭐To help patterns of stress make sure your classroom is predictable, moderate, and controllable
⭐People want your energy not your time
⭐Humans remember 55% of your facial expressions, 38% of your tone, and only 5% of your words
⭐I'm going to be part of the solution. You chose how YOU show up!
