November 5this The Financial Aid Process presentation (for parents, juniors, and seniors, approximately 60 minutes) by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.  ISAC is composed of recent-college graduates serving as near-peer mentors throughout Illinois to help students navigate the college-going process, specifically career and college exploration, applying to college, and the financial aid process.  The presentation on November 5th will cover the world of financial aid.  This presentation covers college costs, types of financial aid, how to apply for financial aid (including the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA) financial aid award packages, and other important information.

November 12th is the FAFSA Completion Workshop (for parents and seniors, approximately 60 minutes).  ISAC members are highly trained to help students and parents complete the FAFSA. This workshop will occur in the BHS Computer Lab.  The ISAC presenter will begin the workshop with a brief FAFSA overview. Attendees will be able to complete the FAFSA at their own pace with an ISAC member providing one-on-one support as needed.
