Suzanne Stewart is currently in her fifth year of teaching art at Brimfield High school.
Mrs. Stewart graduated magna cum laude from Knox College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and Educational Studies. Prior to teaching at Brimfield, She taught at Peoria Academy in Peoria, Illinois (8 years) , Galesburg High School for one year.
Mrs. Stewart has shown her artwork in several venues including the Galesburg Civic Center and the Peoria Art guild's Junction city artfair where Mrs. Stewart won third place at the Junction city art fair in 2006. She has done live paintings for church,Bradley University and several charity dinners including the Easter Seals, Peoria Business Group and the Heart Association. Mrs. Stewart has twice participated in the show "Art before your Eyes" held at the Galesburg Civic Art center,
She is the mother of four children, ages 26-22. Her daughter has a nursing degree and has recently been living in Weymouth, Dorset, England serving in a local Baptist Church.Her oldest son and is wife are living in Brisbane, Australia where he is attending the University of Queensland Medical School. Her second oldest son was married this past summer and his wife is a nurse at OSF St Francis in Peoria and he is in the process of applying to medical school. Her youngest son graduates from Pittsburg State University in May 2015 . She recently celebrated her 32nd wedding anniversary and lives in the Dahinda area.
