Jeanie Varnes, a University of Illinois graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Education, has been the Student Assistance Program Coordinator since the fall of 2001. Mrs. Varnes is currently pursuing a teaching certificate from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. Mrs. Varnes lives in Farmington with her husband, Dave, and three daughters Arin, Paige, and Haley.
With the help of the Student Assistance Team -- Jeannie Blane, Lonye Gilles, Kim Runyon, and Kelly Walker -- Mrs. Varnes facilitates prevention, at-risk and community service programs.
In addition to these activities, Mrs. Varnes is also the Student Council advisor, BHS JV softball coach, and BGS softball coach.
