Steve Paxson

Biography

Paxson - High School and Middle School Physical Education Teacher and Baseball Coach

 

Steve Paxson is in his second year at Brimfield.  He has taught P.E. and/or Health for 11 years, which included 7 years at Galva School District and 3 years at Kewanee High School.  In addition to teaching he has coached a variety of sports throughout his tenure.  These sports include high school girls track, jr. high football, high school football, fresh-soph boys basketball and baseball.  He is currently teaching physical education and coaching baseball.  The high school P.E. program, which students are required 3 and a half years to graduate, offers a variety of activities which may include speedball, softball, fishing, and roller skating to name a few.  The middle school P.E. program incorporates health as well as P.E..  Health is taken in cooperation with P.E. when students are in seventh grade.  He is married to Christine and has three children; Ali 9, Emma 3, and Will 4 months.  He spends his free time, which is very minimal, spending time with his family or watching the Chicago White Sox and Iowa Hawkeyes.
