BGS Guest Reader Program

BGS has started a Guest Reader program this year. Each month a member of the community is invited to come into the school to read to the students. So far it’s been a huge success and a win/win situation for everyone. Our Guest Readers are getting the opportunity to meet teachers and students and be a “celebrity” for the day. Our staff and students are getting the chance to meet some of the people that live right in our community who they may see, but never get the chance to actually meet.
October’s Guest Reader was Katie Hahn, who is the children’s librarian at Brimfield Public Library. She read the book “Princess Peepers” to the children while dressed in a beautiful princess gown.
November’s Guest Reader was Tom Hintz. Mr. Hintz is the park manager at Jubilee Park and entertained the students with books about nature and camping.
We are very grateful and appreciative that Mrs. Hahn and Mr. Hintz took time out of their busy schedules to come and read to us. It was an enjoyable experience for everyone.
