Begins July 26th!

BHS Softball field
Softball try outs for girls entering 6th—8th grades will be the first week of practice: July 26 - July 30.
Practice — the first week of practice will be used for try outs. Depending on the number of girls trying out, we may be able to have a B team. The coaching staff will use the first week to make those determination. If you have a conflict and will not be able to transport your daughter or find her a ride please contact me before the first day of practice. Also, if your daughter plans to play softball but is going to miss the first practice please contact me prior to that day. Practice schedules will be available during the first week of practice.
Physicals — All girls interested in playing softball need to have a current physical before they can participate in practice. Sports physicals are good for one year — plan early and schedule an appointment sometime before July 26th.
Equipment — if you plan to buy new sliding shorts (not required) consider black. Later in the season, players will be required to have the same color. Again, please do not feel you have to purchase any at this time. The same goes for helmets. If you purchase new, consider red — that is what the team uses and the girls usually like to match. We have plenty of helmets but if your daughter chooses to have her own, red is a good choice.
WATER — plan to send your daughter to practice EVERY DAY with something to drink. It will be very hot and they need to stay hydrated.
You will receive information about a parent meeting during that week.
