Co-op: Student Profile

Hi, I am Tami.  I am currently working at a daycare center called 1,2,3 You ‘n Me. I work there everyday as part of my Co-op class at Brimfield High School. At the daycare I work with different ages of children ranging from 6 weeks old to five year olds. After 3:00 I work with the aftercare kids who are older and come from different elementary schools in the area. I love my job because something new happens everyday and I love working with the children.

            For my career choice I plan to either be an elementary teacher or be a pediatric nurse. I have not decided yet, but working at the daycare will help me decide. No matter what I choose I will attend ICC for a year or two to complete my general education courses. If I go into education I plan to go to ISU or Bradley to get my degree. If I choose nursing I will attend OSF nursing school.
