High School and Middle School Physical Education Teacher 

and Baseball Coach   

My name is Steve Paxson and I am in my fifth year at Brimfield.  I have taught P.E. and/or Health for 15 years, which included 7 years at Galva School District and 3 years at Kewanee High School. 

In addition to teaching I have coached a variety of sports throughout my tenure.  These sports include high school girls track, jr. high football, high school football, fresh-soph boys basketball and baseball.  I am currently teaching physical education and coaching baseball and am the assistant girl's basketball coach. 

The high school P.E. program, which students are required 3 and a half years to graduate, offers a variety of activities which may include speedball, softball, fishing, and roller skating to name a few.  The middle school P.E. program incorporates health as well as P.E..  Health is taken in cooperation with P.E. when students are in seventh grade.    

I am married to Christine and have three children; Ali 12, Emma 5, and Will 3.  I spend my free time, which is very minimal, spending time with my family or watching the Chicago White Sox and Iowa Hawkeyes.
