Biography I joined the Brimfield Grade School staff in 2006 as an assistant teacher. In 2007 I happily became a fourth grade teacher. Prior to coming to Brimfield I taught first grade in Peoria. While on an extended maternity leave I ran a licensed home day care, tutored, and worked for a high school exchange program, which allowed me to get to know over 50 students from around the world. The variety of my opportunities has been wonderful. It has been a complete experience to serve children from ages 6 weeks to 18 years old. Some of the "extras" that make up my job here in Brimfield are co-coaching the Jr. High Scholastic Bowl team, acting as the pronouncer for our annual Spelling Bee, and providing support for any English Language Learner (ELL) students within our district. When I am not working I enjoy photography, researching my family's genealogy, gardening, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. I feel right at home in the Brimfield-Edwards community. My family moved into the district in 2007, and I look forward to being involved in our school district as a parent and teacher for years to come. |
