Two Authors Read to BGS Students

It was a great day to be at BGS when, not one but two, authors spoke to students. The eighth graders were treated to a talk by Sidney Finkel who recounted his experiences of survival in Poland during the WWII Nazi occupation. The students and teachers were touched by Mr. Finkel's courage to share his experiences so we could all learn the importance of respecting others and stamping out hate.
Earlier in the day, Linda Hartzler, an author for the Veggie Tale company called Big Idea, told the K-3rd graders about her journey to become a professional writer. Mrs. Hartzler enjoyed her visit with the enthusiastic students and teachers.
