EARLY DISMISSAL OF SCHOOL BASED UPON WEATHER

School can be dismissed early in the event of very hot weather up to September 15 and between May 15 and the end of the school year. Dismissal will take place at 1:50 pm in the event of extreme heat/humidity. This policy has changed effective for the 2010-2011 school year in that the the early dismissal, due to warm weather, is now at the discretion of the superintendent and is not solely based upon a 90 degree forecast.
